SOS Regional Mothers/Adult Training Centre in Bakoteh will today organise its 4th matriculation ceremony of SOS Social Work Certificate Programme, at a ceremony to be held at the school campus.
SOS Social Work Certificate Programme, according to a press release, was initiated in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, UNICEF The Gambia office and SOS KDI North/West Africa.
The release stated that the programme is a national programme that is facilitated by SOSĀ - RMATC since 2006, and was designed to fill a gap of manpower needed in the country and beyond.
According to the release, the students of this 4th batch are to come from all walks of life in the country, and that community members will also gather at the ceremony to cerebrate the 4th matriculation ceremony of new top quality social work students at SOS Regional Mothers/Adult Training Centre.
The event, the release added, will be attended by representatives from the SOS Regional Office North/ West Africa, SOS Children's Villages, the Gambia Trust, Department of Social Welfare, VSO, University of The Gambia, UNICEF, National Training Authority and Professional Social Workers, among others.
