A magistrate court in Bundung recently convicted and sentenced one Muhammed Sallah to a mandatory jail term of nine months for threatened violence against his mother.
Delivery judgement, Magistrate Lamin Geoge stated that the prosecution case was that, the convict had threatened violence against his mother.
Magistrate George further stated that, according to the particulars of offence, on 23rd March 2010, at Bakoteh, the convict, Muhammed Sallah, threatened to kill his mother with a picture frame glass.
He said the prosecution in support of their case had called in three witnesses, while the convict testified on his own and called only one witness.
Still delivering the judgement, the magistrate stated that after going through the evidence of both the prosecution and that of the convict, the court was satisfied that the prosecution had proven their case beyond all reasonable doubt.
