SK East, Gunjur and Lamin Super Cup finals set for weekends

Three major Nawettan centres, namely Serrekunda, Gunjur and Lamin, are set to stage their Wet season biggest football gala season traditional curtain raiser, better known as Super Cup finals, this weekend.

In Serrekunda East-League champions Blue Star FC will brawl with Medina FC in the 2016 Serrekunda East Super Cup final on Saturday 23 July 2016, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium at 4.30pm.

Blue Star FC and Medina FC Super Cup clash will mark the beginning of the 2016 Serrekunda East raining season biggest football fray.

In Gunjur, league champions Dunes FC of Nyofelleh village will rub shoulders with knockout champions Passamai FC in the 2016 Gunjur summer biggest football jamboree season traditional curtain raiser the Super Cup final set for Saturday 23 July 2016, at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field at 4.30pm.

The Nyofelleh-based outfit beat Kundembo FC in the final game played at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field to clinch the 2015 Gunjur league title.

The Gunjur-based outfit Passamai FC defeated Red Star Family FC on penalties, after their 1-1 draw in the regulation time.

Former Gunjur prolific striker Simon secure the lead after the interval before Gunjur United midfielder Mbemba Fatty alias Andre Iniesta levelled matter for Red Star Family FC mid-away into the second half.

In Lamin, league champions Jattas FC will host knockout champions Media FC in the 2016 Lamin Super Cup billed for Sunday 24 July 2016, at the Late Sanna Memorial Football Field in Lamin at 4.30pm.

The Super Cup final marks the start of the 2016 Lamin Nawettan season.
