The 4th edition of the national award organised by the Sports Journalists Association of The Gambia is set to take place on September 1, 2012 at the SunSwing Hotel, formerly Jerma Beach Hotel.
The annual event is meant to honour people and groups in sports for their achievements over the years thus contributing to the attainment of excellence in sport.
Nine categories, whose contenders were nominated earlier through the award committee headed by Musa Sise, will be voted for by members for the public through an Africell voting number 7401.
Sports journalists will also vote to determine the winner in each category.
Africell, Gambia Tourism Board, National Water and Electricity Company (Nawec), Banjul Breweries, Gambia Bergen Association in Norway and SN Brussels are said to be the key partners of this year’s award.
