Sifoe
United have maintained their hundred percent record in the 2016-2017 West Coast
Regional third division league following their 2-1 win over Sanchaba Sulay Jobe
Football Academy in group A fixtures played at the Sifoe Football Field on
Sunday.
The
Canada boys made a perfect start to the West Regional third tier campaign after
their 1-0 win over debutants Tujereng United in the all-Kombo South opening
matches before their hard-fought win over Academy boys of Sanchhaba Sulay Jobe
village to keep their hundred percent record in group A with maximum 6 points
after winning their two opening fixtures.
The
defeat was Sanchaba Sulay Jobe Football Academy’s first-ever in the 2016-2017
West Coast Regional third division league.
Gunjur
United drew 1-1 with debutants Jabang FC at the Dembadou Mini Stadium in
Sukuta, to maintain their unbeaten run in the league following their resounding
2-0 win over Jambanjelly United in their opening league fixtures at the Gunjur
Nyamina Football Field.
Tanji
United thumped Sanyang United 2-0 in the all-Kombo South derby fixtures played
at the Tanji Football Field to land their first win in the league after their
1-1 draw with Sanchaba Sulay Jobe Football Academy in their opening league
matches at the Dembadou Mini Stadium in Sukuta.
Busumbala
Sanjonding beat NAWEC 2-0 at the Late Sanna Jatta Memorial Football Field in
Lamin, to maintain their hundred percent record in the league after their
stunning win over Kombo Kerewan in their opening league fixtures.
Elsewhere,
University of The Gambia defeated Foni Kansala District United 2-1 at the Bwiam
Football Field.
