Speaking at the occasion, the Principal of the school, Sarjo Jobe, said the school was funded by the Taiwanese government through the government of The Gambia, noting that since its inception in 2006, the students have performed extremely well in previous West African Senior Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination.
He expressed optimism that he and his staff would do everything possible to ensure that the school continues to produce outstanding students in the near future.
He applauded his grade 12 students for their wonderful performance in last year's West African Senior Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination and urged them to keep up the momentum. He advised the students to take their education seriously as education is the key to success in life.
For her part, the Minister of Basic and Secondary School (MoBSE), Fatou Lamin Faye said that the day marked yet another significant milestone in the history of the school, adding that the school has done remarkably well.
She advised the students to take their education seriously and always give maximum respect to their teachers.
At the end of the ceremony, prizes and certificates were awarded to the students for their outstanding performance in this year's West African Senior School Leaving Certificate Examination.
