Sierra Leonean in Court for Rape

One Morris F. Kallow, a Sierra Loenean national, was on 12th August 2008 arraigned before Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara of the Bundung Magistrates' Court on rape charge.

According to the particulars of the offence, on or about 27th May 2008 at Bakoteh, the accused Morris Kallow allegedly raped an 8-year old girl (name withheld).

He denied the charge. He also told the court that he wanted a legal counsel of his choice.

He was subsequently remanded at the Remand Wing of the Mile II State Central Prisons, before the case was adjourned until 21st August 2008.
