Sheikh Njie clinches Abdoulie Saine Draught Championship

Sheikh Njie of Dobson Street Vous in Banjul has been crowned champion in the Abdoulie Saine Memorial Draught Competition held at the Methodist Hall at Dobson Street in Banjul, over the weekend.

Followed by Dodou Ndow alias Mboteh of Sabiji Vous, Sulayman Norman alias Thomas of Unity Vous came third, whilst Ismaila Ceesay of Campama Vous finished in fourth place.

Sheikh Njie received a trophy, a certificate and D5,000 as the champion and Dodou Ndou received a certificate and D3,000 as the runner-up.

Sulayman Norman received a certificate and D2, 000 as the third place holder, whilst Ismaila Ceesay received D1, 000 as the fourth place holder.

Consolation cash prizes of D2, 000 were given to four other participants for participation in the competition, in which there were 31 participants.

The competition was witnessed by the president of the Gambia National Draught Federation, Alhaji Momodou Dibba, and the Saine family.
