Seven football teams are qualified for the quarterfinal stage in Sukuta Nawettan, says the Secretary-General (SG) of Sukuta Sport Development Association (SSDA), Mr. Lamin S. Bojang.
According to Mr. Bojang, there is an appealed case which is why the 8th team is yet to be confirmed by his association. But he refused to give detail on the case.
He said hopefully before the end of next week the 8th team that qualified for the quarterfinal stage in Sukuta Nawettan will be known to everyone.
Secretary-General Bojang said Sukuta Nawettan has been suspended until after the end of the Ramadan, adding that the first round of the Nawettan went peacefully.
Mr. Bojang finally thanked all the teams, footballers and their fans for making Sukuta Nawettan trouble-free and urged them to continue with that spirit of understanding and co-operation.
The teams that booked their tickets to the quarterfinal stage are in group (A) Manchester United and Nema Youths, Group (B) Dahaba and United stars, Group (C)Global Properties and Rico and Group (D) Q-cell.
It would be recalled that 16th teams took part in the first round of the Sukuta Nawettan, out of which eight teams are supposedly qualified to the quarterfinal stage.
