Seaview defeated debutant Gunjur United 3-0 in the Week 4 fixtures to maintain their unbeaten run in the 2011-2012 Gambia Football Association GFA second league played at the weekend at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.
Seaview opened the score through prolific striker Julaba Suwareh in the 2nd minute of the game from a close rage strike to give his side the lead.
Moments later Seaview found themselves 2-0 up in the 44th minute of the game when midfield general Mamut Saine scored the second goal after dribbling past Gunjur United defence line and goalkeeper Ebrima Cham to fire the ball at the back of Gunjur United’s emptynet to put his side on the driving seat.
Jerome Gomez blasted the third goal for Seaview in the 75th minute of the game after capitalizing on Gunjur United’s defensive blunders to seal victory for the hotel boys.
Lamin United lost to Banjul United 1-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, while Latrikunda United drew 1-1 with debutant Starlight at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on the same day.
Sait Matty snatched their first victory in the new season after thumping Tallinding United 2-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Friday.
Serrekunda East have maintained their unbeaten run in the campaign after a 1-0 win over Interior in the other Week 4 fixtures played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai on the same day.
Each of the two clubs - Seaview and Serrekunda - has collected 7 points in three games, Interior have collected 6 points in three games, Banjul United 5 points in three games, and both Gunjur United and Tallinding United 4 points each.
Sait Matty have collected 3 points in two games with two games in hand, Latrikunda United 2 points in four games, while Lamin United and Starlight are both rooted at the bottom of the table with single point each in three games.
