Seaview FC have maintained their unbeaten run in the Gambia Football Association second division league following their 2-0 defeat over Lamin United in the Week 14 fixture played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Saturday.
Two first-half goals from Julaba Sawaneh and Ousman Marong in the 14th and 16th minutes of the game were all but enough to earn the hotel boys another vital three points, extending their unbeaten run to twelve games and 28 points in twelve games with two games in hand.
Lamin United have so far collected 6 points in twelve encounters with also two games in hand and are rooted at the bottom of the league table.
Speaking to reporters shortly after the game, Ousman Njie, head coach of Seaview FC, said every game is difficult, especially the one against Lamin United “because they are at the bottom of the league table”.
He added that they overcame Lamin United before they settled during the game.
Their wish is to maintain their winning form and to qualify the team to the first division league, he remarked: “The task is to qualify the team to the first division league, whether we maintain our winning form or not.”
At the end of the first round they evaluated the team’s performance, coach Njie said, adding that they are motivating the players.
