The Gambia Scout Association recently held a four-day leadership training for their members at the Girls Guide Training School Hall in Kanifing, aimed at equipping them on various skills of leadership and management techniques.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of Youths and Sport Malang Jassey, commended the association for their foresight in organising the forum.
He said the training would avail them the skills to take part in national development, and then thanked the World Scout Bureau for supporting Gambia Scout Association in conducting such training.
For her part, Aja Kassa Kanteh Sanneh, the President of the Scout Association said that the purpose of the training is to arm the participants with management skills.
"With this kind of training, the task would be easy because the training will also equip us the skills to mobilise funds," he stated.
Pa Omar Bojang, the Chief Scout Commissioner, is of the view that the training would equip them with the tools to work with the members of the association to contribute towards meaningful development.
