Speaking at the ceremony, the public relations officer of the school, Fatima Phall Barry, said the occasion was held to celebrate and recognise the achievement of their students.
"Coordinating an event like this requires a team work, behind the scenes preparations," she said, thanking the prize giving committee for their tireless support and parents for their unflinching support towards the programmes.
For his part, Ebou Jammeh, the principal of the school, said his school had registered a remarkable performance in different key areas of subjects, noting that his teachers did not let him down and his student did not let their teachers down.
Mr Jammeh promised the parents that the money they pay for their lads will serve its purpose.
He further called on the students to exercise a high sense of discipline, urging the parents to support them in inculcating and maintaining the good attitude in the students. He also said "very soon" their school magazine "will be out".
Dr Omar Jah, guest speaker of the ceremony, says discipline is the key to success and the core of all good values of the academic excellence and therefore should not be a mere dream.
He added that children can be born with natural talent but sometimes influenced by the environment in which he or she lives to end up otherwise.
"Any environment that is not clean is not conducive for learning," he said, adding that discipline is very significant since it yields consciousness and sense of maturity, "but to attain it requires a collective responsibility".
He finally advised the pupils to respect their parents and teachers.
