Sulayman Corr, head coach of Young Africans in the GFA first division, has said he was disappointed that his team was defeated 1-0 by Brikama United but admitted United deserve to win the league.
“I am disappointed for losing to Brikama United but they fought for the league and there is no doubt that they deserve to win it,” said the former Gamtel head coach, in a recent interview with Pointsport.
“This shows that West Coast Region is a region that others should concentrate on because they have good players that can deliver to expectations,” he added.
“This is a game from which we should have at least gone [home] with a point looking at our position on the league table at the moment but unfortunately lack of concentration caused us the defeat, but we have to take it in good faith and know that this is football,” Corr admits.
“We had wanted to at least collect a point in this game if we were not going to win but we will prepare well for our final league game to ensure we collect the maximum three points to avoid demotion to the second division,” Corr concluded.
