Sateba United on Saturday were crowned champions of the 2013 Sifoe Youth and Sports Noran football tournament.
They defeated Ecomong FC 1-0 in a well-contested final game played at the Sifoe Football Field which attracted hundreds of spectators from Sifoe and its environs for the weekend crunch clash.
Ebou Mendy’s 47th-minute strike was enough for Sateba United FC to grab their first silver in the Sifoe Noran tournament.
Ecomong came closer to scoring on series of occasions but failed to capitalize on their goal-scoring opportunities thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of Sateba United.
As champions of the tourney, Sateba United FC went home with D4, 500, while Ecomong FC received D3,500 as runners-up.
