Samba Bah wins Gunjur Kulukochi Anti-Malaria Marathon race

Samba Bah of Gambia Police Force has been crowned champion of the 2016 Gunjur Anti-Malaria Marathon race in Gunjur, Kombo South on Saturday.

Samba Bah came out first in the male 21-kilometre race, followed by Andrew Jassey of the Gambia Police Force.

The champion, Samba Bah, went home with a giant trophy, a cash prize of D5,000, medals, a certificate, a mosquito net, and a bag full stationeries.

Andrew Jassey, as the runner-up, received D3,000, a trophy, meal, a certificate, a mosquito net and a bag full of stationeries.

In an interview with Pointsport shortly after the marathon race, Samba Bah said he was pleased to clinch the annual Gunjur Kulukochi Anti-Marathon race.

Bah hailed his opponents for participating in the annual Gunjur Kulukochi Anti-malaria marathon race, noting that they are opponents but not enemies.
