In handing over the donated items, Jean, one of the representatives said the Sabrime Health Care had accumulated the materials and asked two of them to bring the items for needy Health Centres in The Gambia.
"We have been coming here for a long time, it was therefore fitting for our friends to involve us to be bringing items for the Health Centre that lacks some facilities," she said.
Jean said they had brought Glucometer for testing blood sugar, detergent, and bandages. “When we get things sorted out then we shall bring more,” she said.
Jean and Mary affirmed that they are tourists interested in supporting others. She said a nurse friend of hers gave her a bag for the hospital, while others gave them baby dresses.
Pastor Abel, a Gambian pastor and their local representative expressed their willingness to be part of a worthy venture. He said they would soon set up an office to channel their partners' effort.
Jeandarc Jarjue, the Officer-in-charge of Serrekunda Health Centre thanked the group and said they deserve to be praised.
"Our friends could not have come at a better time than this," she concluded.
