Serrekunda-East inspirational star striker Ousman Touray widely known as Rooney is on the verge of claiming the golden boot award, despite tough competition from other players, including Bakau Captain Assan Jatta who also has two goals to their names as the Second Edition of Baby Muhammeh Jammeh Cup Competition reaches final stage.

The powerful forward netted his third 3rd goal of the campaign after capitalising on a goal-keeping error by Bakau goalkeeper, Yahya Sidebeh whose terrific mistake nearly cost Bakau their first defeat in the championship, an occasion which was understood to have left the young goalkeeper in tears and frustration, despite putting in a brilliant performances throughout the competition.

Rooney who guided Ball Conge to another league title after netting his side's opener as they entertained Rangers to an impressive two-nil victory at the Serekunda East mini-stadium scored a brace in his side's 4-nil humiliation of Brikama as part of his East side's second game of the Zonal Cup Competition at the Box Bar mini-stadium.

Ousman Touray who has got a total of five goals to his name in the just concluded Summer Championship in Serrekunda East is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the ongoing Zonal Cup Competition which has been put to a halt with the final still hanging in the balance.

He made his presence felt with a superb right footed finish as they went ahead to lead Bakau in Sunday's encounter but the game was later marked by a controversy between the two sides at the Serrekunda West Mini-Stadium.

Ousman's closest rival Assan Jatta will be hoping for the replay so that there would be a possibility of collecting the award he won a few years ago.
