Gambian duo Ken Mansally and Sainey Nyassi featured as substitutes in the weekend New England Revolution Major Soccer League opener against LA Galaxy at Home Depot Center.

The MLS giants LA Galaxy split points as the teams tied 1-1following an early lead by New England.

Just three minutes in, Marko Perovic took control of his own corner kick after a Galaxy clearance and fired the ball to the left post. Shalrie Joseph found space in the Galaxy defense and knocked a header on goal that beat Saunders and gave the visitors a 1-0 lead, according to goal.com.

The Revolution who seemed content with the early goal dropped back as the Galaxy dominated possession for the remainder of the first half.

In the 17th minute, the Galaxy finally broke through as Juninho tapped in a solid ball into the net.
