Real De Banjul hope to recover in GFF 1st division

Real De Banjul hope to recover in the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league season to stand in contention for the league title after losing their opening league match at the weekend.

The Banjul-based club will rub shoulders with Gamtel in their week-two fixtures tomorrow, Saturday 26 November 2016, at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

They would play hard to beat Gamtel to recover in contention for the league title after losing to Brikama United 2-1 in their opening league fixtures last Sunday.

Gamtel, on the other hand, drew 1-1 with Serrekunda United in their opening league fixtures, and would contest to beat Real De Banjul to increase their hopes of landing the league.

Bombada will host the newly-promoted side Marimoo at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Bombada will have to beat Marimoo to recover in the league after losing to Hawks 1-0 in their opening league match last week.

Elsewhere, newly-promoted side Tallinding United will welcome Serrekunda United at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

The Tallinding-based outfit will target to defeat Serrekunda United to bounce back in the league after losing to Marimoo 1-0 in their opening league fixtures last week.

On Sunday 27 November 2016, Bakau giant killers Steve Biko will host Brikama United at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Steve Biko were held to a 1-1 draw by reigning league champions Gambia Ports Authority in their opening league match last week.

They would strive to smash Brikama United to land their first win in the new league season.

Brikama United will attempt to defeat Steve Biko to maintain their hundred percent record in the league after their 2-1 win over Real De Banjul in their opening league game last week.

The reigning league champions Gambia Ports Authority will meet Samger at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Both sides hope to beat each other to register their first victory in the new league season after drawing their opening matches against Steve Biko and Gambia Armed Forces respectively last week to keep their league title hopes alive.

Elsewhere, Gambia Armed Forces will take on Hawks at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on the same day.

Gambia Armed Forces will strike to beat Hawks to clinch their first win in the new league season following their goalless draw against Samger in their opening league match last week.

Hawks will try to pound Gambia Armed Forces to maintain their hundred percent record in the new league season after their 1-0 win over Bombada in their opening league match last week.
