The case was set for judgment at the special criminal court after the state prosecutor completed cross-examining the accused.

He was cross-examined in connection with the charges preferred against him.

The accused under cross-examination told the court that he did not know the victim and therefore could not rape her.

While denying having canal knowledge of the victim, the accused said he had never set his eye on “the supposed victim”.

He said that under cross-examination he did not give statement to the police. “All what the police wrote was a figment, and was not based on facts,” he said.

“The accused told the court that “the police just accused me for the fact that they hated me,” the accused.

The case was adjourned till 14 November 2011, for judgment.
