Gaston Jarju, the second prosecution witness (PW2), recently testified in the theft case involving one Modou Bah at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Landing Sanneh.

PW2 told the court that the accused, Madou Bah, was stealing in the house of one Sulayman Touray and was sighted by a passerby, who called him (the witness).

He said he found the accused was packing the belongings of Mr Touray and when the accused saw him he wanted to run he told him to stand, but he ran away.

“I chased him until I caught him and handed him over to one mechanic. I went and called the police at Kotu,” he said.

The accused was arrested by the police, and the stolen items were put on his head and taken to the police station in Kotu.

The police had taken the photo of the scene which he identified in court, and were marked as exhibits.

The case continues.
