Ebrima Konateh is among the youngest and most promising players in Busumbala football.
The highly rated Shooting Star midfielder, who can also play as a second striker, was born in 1992 in Busumbala.
He started playing football at a tender age with his colleagues in the streets of Busumbala and later joined Shooting Stars in Busumbala Junior Nawetaan in 2003. Konateh put up a spectacular performance to help Shooting Stars gain promotion to the senior Nawetaan in 2007.
As a result, the skillful midfielder caught the eyes of the head coach of Busumbala, Dembo Jarju, who invited him to the Busumbala town team that took part in the 2008 Brikama Nawetaan.
His performance with Busumbala Selection in the Brikama Nawetaan impressed the Brikama coach who invited him to joined Brikama United FC Academy.
Konateh has set his eye on playing for the various national teams ranging from the U-17, to the U-20, the U-23 and the senior national team, with aim of becoming a professional player.
He applauded his coaches, teammates and fans for their support.
