PRESS RELEASE: IEC to conduct training for polling staff

In the run up to the polls on 1st December 2016, the Independent Electoral Commission will be conducting training for its polling staff on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November 2016.

This training will take place at all the seven  Administrative Areas at the following venues: Gambia Senior Secondary School, Latrikunda Upper Basic School (LK), Gambia College, Kerewan Senior Secondary School, Pakalinding Upper Basic School, Methodist Primary School (Janjangbureh) and Nasir Senior Secondary School.

All those Gambians who have been successful in the interview are the only ones allowed to come to the training venues.

In another vein, the IEC will conduct a briefing exercise for all International and Domestic Observers on Monday 28 November at the Paradise Suites Hotel, commencing at 10:00am.
