An
award of Honorary Fellowship by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria
was conferred on The Governor of the Central Bank of The Gambia, Hon. Bakary
Jammeh on Saturday, 26th October, 2019. This is in recognition of his
Leadership roles in the “promotion of sound financial system and banking
education in The Gambia as well as contribution to the Institute”. The award is
attached for your perusal.
This award is normally given to “esteemed
Bankers who have distinguished careers with immense service to the banking
Industry”. We also note with pride that the award is the “highest the CIBN
confers on deserving individuals as a symbol of success and achievement”.
In
receiving the award, Governor Jammeh expressed profound delight to the awarding
body and dedicated it to the Staff of the Central Bank of The Gambia and the
financial sector.
The
