The
Office of the Inspector General of Police has announced that anyone who wants
to move in convoy should obtain a permit
from the offices of the Regional Police Commissioners.
A
statement from the Office of the Inspector General said the permit would make
it possible for the police to facilitate the smooth movement of the holder’s
convoy and avoid any risk being posed to other road users.
The
police said the announcement is as a result of the fact that some people are
moving in convoys using the public highways without permit thereby posing great
risk to other users of the highways.
