One Mariama Jammeh, plaintiff, recently testified in a civil suit brought against Mustapha Bayo and Mamadi Badjie at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

In her testimony, she told the court she was in love with a white man called Tonney Roseco, who bought her a land at Tujereng Village in Kombo South.

She told the court that when the white man was going back to Europe, he told her to look for a land so he could buy a land for her.

The plaintiff added that she went to Tujereng to find a land from one Ismaila Bojang, adding that they agreed on a price of D45,000.

She said she made a part payment of D4,000 and when the white man came back to The Gambia, he paid the remaining balance, adding that she cleared the land and also built a house there.

The case at that juncture was adjourned till 27 October 2011.
