National cricket player and Coach Peter Campbell, has been tasked to take charge of the U-10 cricket team.
The International Cricket Council Level One Coach and Wicket Keeper of the defunct senior national cricket team as part of his mandate will prepare the young players for the national U-13 team, which is a strong force in the sub-region.
Already the young Coach has registered a number of children from schools and taken their birth certificates to be included in a data base system.
This, according to the President of the Gambia Cricket Association Johnny Gomez, is in line with the association's plans to ensure and promote the spirit of competitiveness and good performances from all categories of the national teams.
