Pencha FC last Wednesday defeated German Boys by a lone goal in the ongoing Serrekunda West Nawettan qualifiers, played at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.
In the opening minutes of the game both sides played offensive and defensive football and had had scoring opportunities in each other's goal line, but failed to capitalise on their limited chances. Thus, the first half ended in a stalemate.
In the second half, Pencha FC were strong enough in the midfield and created numerous goal attempts in front of German Boys FC goal mouth. As a result, their efforts paid dividend in the 61st minute of play from a brilliant long range shoot which beat pass German Boys FC goalkeeper's arm pit and hit the back of the net.
Pencha FC now bagged 3 points from one game, while their opponents German Boys FC are yet to collect a point since the start of the championship over the weekend.
