PE teachers training kicks-off

A ten-day training workshop for Physical Education Teachers on 'talent finding' recently kicked-off at the Friendship Hostel in Bakau.

The training, which brought together 35 teachers from all the regions in the country, is being organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MOBSE).

Speaking to Poinsport at the occasion, the Regional Sports Coordinator for Region Six (6), Buramanding M. M Touray, said the training workshop is being organised to equip physical education teachers with skills in finding talents for different level of sports.

According to him, the training would really help PE teachers in the country to fetch for talents in their various schools.

He applauded the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) and the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MOSBE) for organising the training, he noted, would go a long way towards developing the skills of the PE teachers in the country.
