Gambian defender Pa Saikou Kujabi’s Hibernian chairman, Rod Petrie, says manager Pat Fenlon’s ability to enter the transfer market again in January depends on attendance at home matches until then.
Petrie praised the team for achieving better results and performances after they moved up to second position in the SPL with a thumping 4-0 victory at Motherwell last weekend.
“We would like to do more to help Pat sustain that improvement again in the January transfer window,” he said on BBC.
“That will depend on our core source of income - receipts from attendance at home games between now and the turn of the year.”
Petrie has been delighted with the response of the fans so far this term - extra 1,000 season tickets have been sold - during which Hibs have gone from relegation candidates last season to presently sitting second in the Scottish Premier League.
Pa Saikou who signed for the Scottish side in the 2011/12 season is yet to make more appearances for Hibs in the 2012/13 season, after 11 league matches. Since his signing, he has made 13 appearances for Hibs and was selected twice as a substitute on the bench.
The side will host St Mirren on Saturday November 3rd 2012.
