UK-based charitable organization Operafrica at the weekend embarked on a massive eye operation exercise in Gunjur village, Kombo South District in the West Coast Region.
The annual eye operation exercise, held at the Gunjur Health Centre, brought together eye patients from Gunjur and its satellite villages.
Speaking to journalists, Faburama Darboe, a partner to Operafrica, said Operafrica project is based in the southern part of The Gambia at the moment, adding that they have embarked on projects in agriculture and health.
According to Faburama, patients who benefited from Operafrica eye operation in the past years were really impressed with the operation.
