Omar Jagne, alias Dusma of 22nd July vous, has emerged champion of the third edition of the Late Abdoulie Saine Memorial Draughts tournament.
Jagne beat last year’s champion Alhagie Malick Loum of O.J Junction Vous in the final at the Dobson Street Vous in
He was therefore awarded a giant trophy, a certificate and cash prize of D5, 000.
Alhagie Malick Loum, on the other hand, received a certificate and cash prize of D3, 000 as runner-up.
Abdou Ceesay of
Fakebba Marong, alias Keo of Old NTC Vous of Brikama, went home with D1, 000 as the 4th place holder, while consolation prizes were given to four other participants present at the competition ground.
The tournament was organised by the Gambia National Draughts Federation in memory of late Abdoulie Saine.
