Scorpions
and Sampdoria defender, Omar Colley on Friday donated sanitary and hygiene
materials to the community of Lamin.
The
27-year-old Sampdoria defender has donated over a dozen of water containers and
detergents to his native community.
Meanwhile,
since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, Gambians have been responding to
sanitizing measures through regular hand washing with soap and water in their
compounds, offices and streets.
Many
Gambian international players have also joined in the fight against the
covid-19 pandemic as Saudi-based Gambian striker Bubacarr Steve Trawally and
Gaira Joof of Israeli side Bnei Yehuda have all rendered material support to
communities and health-care groups in the country to help in the on-going fight
against the covid-19 pandemic.
