Scorpions and Sampdoria defender, Omar Colley on Friday donated sanitary and hygiene materials to the community of Lamin.

The 27-year-old Sampdoria defender has donated over a dozen of water containers and detergents to his native community.

Meanwhile, since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, Gambians have been responding to sanitizing measures through regular hand washing with soap and water in their compounds, offices and streets.

Many Gambian international players have also joined in the fight against the covid-19 pandemic as Saudi-based Gambian striker Bubacarr Steve Trawally and Gaira Joof of Israeli side Bnei Yehuda have all rendered material support to communities and health-care groups in the country to help in the on-going fight against the covid-19 pandemic.
