Principal magistrate Ibrahim Kijera of the Bundung magistrates’ court has adjourned the criminal trial on obtaining money by false pretence involving Abdoulie Jatta and Ismalia Cham, until 21 May 2014 for judgment.

The development came after the 2nd accused, Ismail Cham, told the court that the witness he intended to call in support of his defence travelled out of the jurisdiction, and did not know when he was coming back.

The court at that juncture closed the 2nd accused person’s defence on the basis that the court could not wait for a witness it did not know when he or she would come.

The case was then adjourned until 21 May 2014, for judgment.
