Former Brigadier General Omar B. Mbye and businessman Lie Joof were yesterday evening released from detention, this paper has gathered. The duo were said to be among the people arrested together with the former Chief of Defence Staff of The Gambia Armed Forces, Lang Tombong Tamba, Ex-Deputy Inspector General of Police, Modou Gaye, and Ex-Director General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Momodou Bo Badjie, in November last year.
