At a press conference, hosted at the Redeemed Christian Council on Kairaba Avenue, Pastor Chinedu introducing Evangelist Deby Edukughor, said he was born 52 years ago in Wari, Delta State of Nigeria.

"He was professionally certified as Accountant in 1984, and after ten years stint in international business, he retired and was ordained in ministry as evangelist," he said. He further said that John Deby Edukughor is the founding President of Jesus Christ Power World Evangelism.

"He has preached the Gospel of love, truth and saving grace of Christ during his Jesus Power Crusade and multitude of nations have been saved, healed and blessed. He is also the presiding trustee of Heavenly Dews Foundation, humanitarian arm of his ministry responsible for the welfare of widows and orphans," he said.

A statement by the organisers at the end of the press conference further stated that Great Gambia 2010 is a special opportunity for families and the nation at large, held on the Church's mandate to be "salt and light to the nation and a channel of God’s blessing to all."

Evangelist Edukughor said his vision for The Gambia is that The Gambia is going to be a great country.

"If we pray Gambia will be the hob of the continent. I invite all to come for the crusade from Thursday to Sunday this week," he concluded.
