Nigerian Arraigned for Alleged Defilement

Joseph Ojukwuu, a Nigerian national, was on 27th February 2009 brought before Acting Principal Magistrate Sainabou Wadda-Ceesay of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court for allegedly defiling a girl under the age of 18 years.

According to the particulars of the alleged offence, on or about the year 2008, at London corner, the accused Joseph Ojukwuu unlawfully had carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 18 years.

The accused was remanded in custody and the case was adjourned until 3rd March 2009.

Corporal 335 Nying represented the IGP.
