New Environment Minister appointed

Pa Ousman Jarju has been appointed the new minister for the Environment by President Yahya Jammeh, GRTS television announced on Wednesday evening.

Jarju was director of the department of Water Resources in Banjul, and was said to be the focal point in The Gambia for UNFCCC the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
