Nema United on Friday beat Gunjur Fisheries 2-0 at the Madina Salam football field to recover in contention for a place in the semifinal of the 2015-2016 Madina Salam Noran football championship.
Nema United lost their two opening games prior to their Friday’s clash with Fisheries, but managed to grip the vital three points after netting two excellent goals to boost their chances of reaching the semifinal.
On Saturday Belgium terminated Central FC unbeaten run in the championship after beating them 1-0 to snatch another slender victory in the championship.
The victory was Belgium’s second successive win in the championship with 6 points in three games. They have now levelled on points with Central FC, who have also snatched 6 points in three games with one game to spar.
Gunjur Fisheries remain mid-table with 4 points in four games despite losing to Nema United 2-0 at the weekend.
The beach boys will be expecting Nema United to slip their final game against Central FC to advance to the semifinal.
