The chapter was established to bridge the relationship between entrepreneurs and EMPRECTEC centre under Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency GIEPA to enhance growth of small businesses.
Momodou BK Ceesay, president of the chapter, has underscored the significant of the establishment of the chapter, noting that it aims to support the growth of small businesses.
He disclosed that EMPRECTEC Centre provides six-month business advisory services to small businesses trained by EMPRECTEC to enhance business growth.
Haruna Kuyateh, secretary of the chapter, said the project contributes to building the capacity of businesses in goal settings, calculating risk taking, networking and business plan development to enhance growth.
Governor Lamin Queen Jammeh thanked the executive for the visit saying entrepreneurs are the engine of growth of an economy.
Governor Jammeh assured the chapter of his office support while calling on institutions and organisations to support the development of small and medium scale enterprises for the attainment of sustainable development and poverty reduction.
