The team under the guardian of Coach Buba Jallow is expected to rest for a period of one month, before they will resume training for the WAFU Female Football Championship which has recently been rescheduled till further notice.
The WAFU championship, according to the President of the Gambia Football Association, Seedy M.B.Kinteh, would be sponsored by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The team has since its establishment been involved in a series of friendly games with the female selection drawn from various divisions.

of the test matches, all geared towards the preparation for the WAFU Female
Championship in
The team's most outstanding performance to date came during their historic 6-0 thumping of Ziguinchor in Cassamance, which was also their first international outing since its inception sometimes ago.
