National Athletics Championship June 26

As part of its role to promote athletics in the country, The Gambia athletics Association will stage its annual national Athletics championship from the 26thto the 28thJune 2008 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The annual event sponsored by GAMSTAR Insurance Company will feature all affiliated clubs, services and municipalities in the country

According to Dodou Joof Secretary General of GAA in a press Release sent to Pointsports, the heats will take pace on the 26thand the finals will be held on Saturday June 28, 2008.

He called on the general public to come out in the large numbers to support the Gambian athletes.
