Sheriffo Sonko, a narcotics officer, recently testified before Magistrate Landing Sanneh of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court in a cocaine case involving Baba Camara and Musa Darboe, who were charged with drug trafficking, which they had denied.
Officer Sonko told the court that upon conducting a search on the vehicle the accused were on board, five blocks of suspected cocaine were discovered at the back of the vehicle.
The accused persons were arrested and taken to the station.
He identified the said cocaine when it was shown to him and it was later admitted and tendered as exhibit.
Under cross-examination, Officer Sonko adduced that the said cocaine was found in the vehicle on which the accused persons were on board, adding that he could not say why the other passengers on the vehicle were not charged.
The case continues on 18 September 2012, for defence.
