The accused, Musa Faal, was alleged to have committed the offence of murder and was reported to have been in detention for 2 years now.
When the case was mentioned in court, the trial judge asked the state counsel whether they had filed a charge against the accused.
The state counsel responded that they had not filed any charge against the accused, as the counsel whom the said case file was assigned to had travelled out of the country’s jurisdiction.
The case at that juncture was adjourned till 20 August 2013, for the state to file their bill of indictment.
The judge disclosed that if the state had failed to file their bill of indictment and called their first witness, he would discharge the accused.
He then ordered the copy of the court’s order to be served on the Attorney General.
