Munazamat Al-Dawa Al-Islamia decorates schools

Munazamat Al-Dawa Al-Islamia, an international charitable non-governmental organization operating in The Gambia, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Mauritania and Liberia, on 10 December 2013 presented certificates to eight schools for excellent performance in the 2013 academic year examination, at a colorful ceremony held at the Kotu Senior Secondary School.

The schools awarded with certificates for their brilliant performance in the 2012-2013 academic year examination included Kotu Upper Basic School, Kotu Senior Secondary School, Mandinary Islamic School, Musa Bun Nusiri Islamic School in Faji Kunda, Sheikh Handan Senior Secondary School for girls in New Yundum, Bilal Bun Rabah Islamic School in Kiang Kaif, Sheikh Omar Futti Islamic Centre in Nguku Kebbeh, and Mandinaring Arabic School.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director of Schools at Munazamat Al-Dawa Al-Islamia, Omar Jarasuba, applauded the schools for their wonderful performance in the 2012-2013 academic year examination.

Mr Jarasuba said the search for knowledge is obligatory to all Muslims, adding that Munazamat Al-Dawa Al-Islamia has launched a jihad in educating and preparing students for this world and next world.

He also thanked Munazamat Al- Dawa Al-Islamia for rendering support to education, health and other sectors of development.

The principal of Sheikh Hamdan Senior Secondary School for girls in New Yundum, Kebba Jagne, said he was really delighted to witness the presentation of certificates to schools for their performance in the 2012-2013 academic year.

Sheikh Ebrima Cham, the director of Dawa at the Munazamat Al-Dawa Al-Islamia, expressed gratitude to the regional director Munazamat Al-Dawa Al-Islamia and those who attended the ceremony.

Sheikh Cham called for cooperation among Munazamat Al-Dawa Islamia staff, whilst advising both the staff and teachers to be role model.

He hailed Baba Drammeh for his contribution to Munazamat Al-Dawa Al- Islamia, especially when the institution lacked computers and typewriters.

For his part, the Regional Director of Munazamat Al-Dawa Al-Islamia, Mohamed Moain Mahmoud Ebrahim, commended the schools certificated and all those who attended the presentation ceremony of certificates to Schools.

Mr Ebrahim urged the teachers to continue contributing to the education of the students, noting that the significance of teaching cannot be overemphasized.
