Magistrate Nkea of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently convicted and sentenced one Ismaila Manneh, a resident of Brikama, to nine months in prison with hard labour for stealing.
The convict in his plea of mitigation begged the court to temper justice with mercy, saying that he stole the mobile phone in other to buy some clothes for the Koriteh prayer.
It would be recalled that the accused, Ismaila Manneh, on 1st September 2010 at Brikama stole one mobile phone of mark Nokia valued at D1500, being the property of one Malang Ceesay.
