Babucarr Sowe, alias MC Mbye, is in the studio busy putting finishing touches to his solo album expected to soon hit various recording studios in the country.
The album, expected to be released around the middle of 2012, comprises both mbalax and afro-manding. It contains eight tracks.
Speaking in an interview with Entertainment recently at the Block Entertainment Studio in Pipe line, MC Mbye said he started music since 2000 with a group called Black Acoustic living in Bakau New Town.
“We released an album in 2005 entitled Under 17,” MC Mbye said, adding that in 2006 they also released a compilation album called the ‘AU Summit’.
“In 2008 we decided to separate and in 2009 I signed a contract with the Block Entertainment Studio for five years,” Mbye said.
