Marina International School To Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Marina International school, one of the leading institutions in the country will be celebrating its fifty years of anniversary tomorrow. The celebration will take place at the Kairaba Beach Hotel. Marina International school has series of activities to mark the event in a grand style.

Speaking in an interview with Entertainment recently at his office, Mr Seedy Saho, Head of the Finance and Administrative Manager said the celebration started with the launching of the anniversary, which was done together with a school fete, last February 21st, 2009. According to him, sponsored works followed on May 29th 2009. The Finance and administrative boss explained that the event will bring together Senegalese artist Titi alongside some Gambian artists namely Yusupha Mboob, Jali Lamin Saho and Diha respectively. After sunset on Saturday, the Senegambian artist will continue to treat party-people at the Dream Park in Senegambia. The same concert will be repeated on Sunday at Jokor Westfield respectively.

According to Mr Saho, the funds raised from this event will be used for the building of a nursery and funising a foundation and reception at the school. He said this will include the Science Lap in the high school, construct a standard design and laboratory and also upgrade the high school cantons. The school Finance and Administrative Manager went on to thanked the parents, teachers and staff of the school for their wonderful contribution towards the event. He therefore called on all Gambians and well wishers to come on board and support this noble cause.
