Marimoo on Tuesday thumped Interior 2-0 in the week twenty-five fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium to get to top flight football next season.

The Manjai-based outfit missed top flight football promotion berth to Bakau giant killers Steve Biko last season, who won majority of their games before their game against the Police outfit.

The Police outfit are also competing for promotion to the top flight and managed to grab victory to gain promotion to the top flight.

The defeat has left Interior being out of the top flight promotion race after losing to Marimoo, and will now hang their boots until next season.

Tallinding United and Brufut United are contending for the second spot promotion berth to the top flight after winning their week twenty-five fixtures on the same day.

Tallinding United beat Bakau United 1-0 at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium to maintain their second spot in the second tier and also keep their chances of gaining promotion to the first division next season.

Brufut United beat Red Hawks on the same score-line at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium to keep their third place in the second division and also fancy their dreams of gaining promotion to the top flight next season.
